wait just a second......they played "Tonight's the Night"? As in Neil Young's "Tonight's the Night"? Or is it a different song or something? That would be amazing.

It was a Neil Young cover and I'm pretty sure that's the one. Maybe someone else can confirm.

I might be wrong but tonights the night has appeared before I'm almost certain Like a Hurricane has appeared. And the Duke and the King do Helpless and a version of Long May you Run that blows me away (with the Deacon banging out those Harmonies and Simones James Taylor like voice perfectly suited for that melody. )

I knew about Helpless and Long May You Run.....but didn't know the Felice Brothers were still covering Neil tunes. That's awesome. All I get is regular old "Frankie's Gun" and "Run Chicken Run" when I see them. wink.gif

I know powderfinger is on one of the tapes we have. Never heard Tonights the Night or the other. I'll have to hop arround some setlists to find it.

On the Known Cover Songs (Live & Recorded) thread, I offered this regarding Neil Young's "Walk On," from the album On the Beach, covered by the Felice Brothers in 2007.

Walk On (Neil Young, performed with Bright Eyes)

This song has been also been performed without Bright Eyes. After opening for Bright Eyes earlier in the tour, The Felice Brothers headlined the last show of the tour at the Bearsville Theater, on November 23, 2007. As I recall, A.A. Bondy, the opening act, joined them for Walk On.
