Here's an article on the mini-tour with Conor Oberst on hitfix.com:

Conor Oberst with the Felice Brothers
This summer season has been a succubus of bad concert ticket sales, even for the old standbys. But take a look at even some middle or small venue rock tour schedules for the fall, and find yourself some gems.

In the following pages, we outline some of the better or more interesting of these, of indie rock acts that are either independently signed or -- you guess it -- rock.

What shows are you excited about? What should we have included?

On this page, we have Bright Eyes frontman / Monsters of Folk collaborator Conor Oberst, who has been making more noise lately as a co-figurehead with Zack de la Rocha in the Sound Strike.

However, he's taking a handful of dates this fall to tour the West Coast, under his name with the Felice Brothers as support and the backing band. I can say as a witness those dudes are pretty weird, but wholly entertaining. It promises to be a killer pair-up.

09/30 – Santa Barbara, CA @ Soho ^
10/01 – Big Sur, CA @ Fernwood ^
10/02 – San Francisco, CA @ Hardly Strictly Bluegrass

as mentioned i surely hope this gets taped. How's connor been on taping of late, didn't really see anything surface, one or two monsters of folk shows, a solo conor show, but nothing like the flood of bright eyes tapes that surfaced. I'll put it up on taperssection and see if anybody takes notice. I'd love to make the journey to Big Sur, kerouac book in hand wink.gif . Hardly Strickly Blugrass is taped everyyear isn't? i know i got a few dvd's of past performances

Not sure if you's are aware but Adam Haworth Stephens (Former vocalist in Two Gallants) will be supporting the brothers from Oct til late Nov. From his webpage,

Glad to announce that we’ll be doing a North American tour this coming fall with The Felice Brothers. It starts in the northwest in October and ends in the northeast in late November, going round about the whole country along the way.

Adam has an amazing voice and vocal range. Definitely see him if you can.

I should be at the Columbus show, maybe the Newport also. Hopefully the last day of the tour might be interesting.

i'll most likely be at the poughkeepsie show as well as the halloween show at Music Hall of Williamsburg. Also hoping to head to Ithaca in November to see them at castaways.
